RØDE KORS CURATED (RED CROSS CURATED)


Problem: Young people have never bought more second-hand items than they do today. Although the Red Cross stores have the recycled goods the youth seek, the thrift shops are still significantly less visited than other thrift shops in Denmark.

Research: 57,8% of the respondents in the questionnaire survey think the visual identity and the interior design of the Red Cross stores are "outdated" and "cluttered" compared to other thrift shops in Denmark.

Insight:  We seek inspiration from fashion influencers, style icons and experts in the pursuit of looking good.

Solution:
“Røde Kors Curated”  (Red Cross Curated)
Rebranding of Red Cross recycling stores to become more contemporary and modern for young people. The thrift shops will be curated with the most fashionable items from the Red Cross warehouse. To kickstart the concept, Red Cross Curated enlists various fashion influencers, icons and experts in fashion to select the clothing they believe should be featured in the new Red Cross Curated stores. So you have your own personal fashion expert shopper.  


Additionally, in order to maintain inventory levels at the thrift shops, Red Cross Curated will participate in popular flea markets across Denmark to promote the new concept, sell it’s curated items and gather excess clothing from other stands at the end of the market. In return, the vendors will receive a voucher they can use in the Red Cross Curated shops or online. In that way we secure a circular economy.
